SJ + Garrett
Redwood Deck Engagement Session in Portland, OR

The Redwood Observation Deck at Hoyt Arboretum was the perfect spot to capture SJ + Garrett's Pacific Northwest engagement session. Being transplants from the south and midwest, they wanted to pick a place that was in or close to the city that would show off their new home in all it's glory. This is one of the things we love most about Portland, you don't have to go far to feel like you've walked deep into the forest. Washington Park is only 10 minutes from downtown and has so much to offer! In addition to Hoyt Arboretum (where the Redwood Observation Deck is just a short walk from) it has tons of trails, open meadows, the Rose Garden, the Japanese Garden, the Washington Park Amphitheater, and so much more. The options are endless! It was a perfect quintessential Oregon day after a fresh rain that left low hanging fog and dewey moss coating the trees. We started the session in the Redwoods, climbing around fallen logs and peaking through hollow trees. Then we followed the trail back to the Stevens Pavilion where we finished off the shoot with some celebratory beers, because why not! We're so excited to share these fun Portland engagement photos with you, happy scrolling!
