Annie + Max // Bend, Oregon // Mount Bachelor

There’s something a little eerie about being on a bare mountain in the middle of summer. All the snowboarders and ski bunnies long since gone, it becomes a little bit of a ghost town. And we LOVED it! It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. We rode the empty ski lift up to the top, clutching the handlebars as we turned around to capture Annie + Max laughing at us inexperienced riders. They were no strangers to this mountain. Mount Bachelor was a special place for them and as they had just bought their new home in Bend they couldn’t think of a better spot to celebrate their engagement. We ran around the deserted, windy peak laughing at bad jokes and snapping photos along the way, grabbed some drinks and watched the sunset. The lift ride down was much less terrifying but even more beautiful. We’re so glad we were able to venture down to Bend and capture these two in such a meaningful spot and can’t wait to share more from their winter wedding here in Portland soon.
