Bailey + Landon // Short Sands + Cannon Beach // Oregon Coast

There are many many things that we dislike about social media, but it does have a couple of redeeming qualities. The best one is the ability to connect and maintain friendships all over the world. We've been long distance Instagram buds with Landon (who is an amazing photographer himself) and Bailey for years and were freakin' PUMPED that we finally got to meet them in person! And not only that but we got to hang out on Taylor's birthday and show them our favorite Portland dive bar (Dots Cafe, obviously) for some celebratory drinks and cheese fries. That's our kind of day!

Capturing proposals can be tricky. Especially when the couple knows you so it would be super obvious that something was up if we were spotted! So we decided the best bet would be that Landon would surprise Bailey with a couples session, and good thing we did because it took about 5 seconds for Bailey to see us once they arrived at Shortsands Beach. Little did she know that after our first shot Landon would pop the question. Getting to capture that moment is so wonderful. The genuine surprise and flood of emotion is pure joy to see. We ran around the Oregon coast taking engagement photos, playing with light, and watching the sun go down over Cannon Beach. The day was perfect and we can't wait to get out to Nashville for more dive bars, beers, and greasy, cheesy food.
