Scholls Valley Lodge Wedding
Britanny + Mike // Hillsboro, Oregon // Scholls Valley Lodge
We had such an amazing time celebrating Britanny + Mike at their Scholls Valley Lodge wedding. These two planned their day from St. Louis but we were lucky enough to meet them while they were on a trip to the Oregon Coast to capture their engagement photos. The first time we met them we instantly knew that these were two of the most positive people we’d ever met. Originally, they were planning to get married at Bridal Veil Lake but about a month before their wedding a fire broke out in the Columbia River Gorge that spread fast and far. Unfortunately, the fire caused a landslide that closed the road leading to the venue meaning that they needed to figure out a new plan in only a couple weeks.
Throughout all the unexpected changes these two remained cool, calm, and collected. We were so impressed by their optimistic attitudes, it was clear that they were focusing on what mattered most; that they were still going to get to marry their best friend. They decided to move the wedding to Scholls Valley Lodge, a beautiful venue set on top of a hill with miles of gorgeous views in every direction. Then of course, in true Pacific Northwest style, we had the biggest rain storm of the season on their wedding day. At this point Britanny, done letting mother nature mess with her plans, decided to get married in the rain and it was perfect. Allstar wedding coordinator Morgan at MH Events even stood behind the officiant holding an umbrella for them throughout the ceremony. I don’t think this wedding could have turned out any better. The night was full of laughs, happy tears, and some pretty impressive moves on the dance floor. Congratulations, Britanny + Mike!
