Krysta + Nick // Coeur d’Alene, Idaho // Green Briar Inn

We met Krysta + Nick a few years ago here in Portland and immediately became friends. We discovered quickly that we shared a lot of the same interests. You know, like always choosing sweat pants over jeans and preferring to sit on the couch eating junk food and watching TV rather than go out for a night on the town. Our friendship was meant to be! So when they invited us to spend a weekend at a cabin in Idaho to capture their wedding reception we couldn’t get there fast enough!

Krysta + Nick had traveled to the Swiss Alps earlier this year to have a very small elopement ceremony but wanted the chance to celebrate with their family and friends back home as well. They decided to have an intimate reception with a little reenactment of their ceremony at the Green Briar Inn in Nicks home town. The venue was a quaint European style B&B that matched them perfectly. It had a big beautiful outdoor space filled with twinkle lights where the majority of the evening took place. I can’t express this enough, it was SO much FUN! From starting the day off with a soak in the hot tub, taking some fun, creative William Eggleston inspired portraits, to some very impressive moves on the dance floor this celebration was everything they had imagined it would be and more.
