When you think of Oregon you’re probably picturing waterfalls, lush forests filled with vibrant moss and giant ferns, epic mountain views, and serene vineyards – the Columbia River Gorge has all of these and more! Set against a backdrop of the Cascade Mountain Range, this incredible river canyon is one of the most iconic places in the Pacific Northwest. There are tons of Columbia River Gorge wedding venues, some feature views of Mt. Hood and the water while others are nestled in the canyons surrounded by the tall trees of the forest, fields of flowers, or rolling vineyards. Just a short drive from Portland, you’ll be amazed by how beautiful these Pacific Northwest wedding venues are.

Columbia River Gorge Wedding Venue with an Epic View of the Water

Skamania Lodge is one of the most incredible Columbia River Gorge wedding venues that has a ton to offer. Located just 45 minutes away from Portland on the Washington side of the Gorge, Skamania Lodge is a huge venue that sits on 175 acres. It boasts spectacular views with endless photography opportunities and several indoor and outdoor options for you to hold your ceremony and reception. They have a wide variety of accommodation options for you and your guests including beautiful rooms and suites in the lodge, cabins, a large villa, glamping, and even treehouses! Can you imagine starting your wedding day by getting ready in a treehouse?! In addition to all of this, they offer a bunch of onsite activities such as zip lining, golf, several hiking trails, a spa, and more. In conclusion, it’s a perfect place to host a fun filled Pacific Northwest destination wedding weekend.

Columbia River Gorge Wedding Venue with Big Mt. Hood Views

Without a doubt, Gorge Crest Vineyards has one of the most epic views of all the Columbia River Gorge wedding venues. Positioned on the Washington side of the river, the sprawling lawn where you can hold your ceremony and reception has an expansive view of Mt. Hood and the Hood River Valley. The venue also features an open barn, bridal suite, paved outdoor dance floor, vineyards, a wild flower garden, and a woodsy hammock area surrounded by tall trees and twinkle lights. Lastly, Gorge Crest has indoor and outdoor options for weddings big and small with a built in covered bar on the patio and state of the art designated catering facilities.

Rustic Barn Columbia River Gorge Wedding Venue

Tin Roof Barn is nestled in the hills on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge. Surrounded by orchards, expansive fields, and tall trees, you’ll find that this Washington wedding venue is filled with unique charm. Tin Roof Barn is over 100 years old and includes custom farm tables, a variety of vintage dining chairs, and lounge furniture perfect for your reception and an epic dance party. In addition to the barn, the grounds are beautifully landscaped with native flowers. There are multiple entertaining spaces including the ceremony patio, cocktail pavilion, courtyard, as well as a meadow with views of the rolling hills. I could go on and on about how this is one of our favorite Columbia River Gorge wedding venues and can’t recommend it enough.

Conveniently located just 35 minutes from Portland, you’ll feel like you’ve traveled deep into the forest to one of the most secluded Columbia River Gorge wedding venues. Bridal Veil Lakes is nestled amongst the trees surrounded by lush greenery as well as stunning views of the serene lake no matter where you are. You can hop in a canoe and take a peaceful ride around the lake, and not only that, you can enter your ceremony from the water. High Desert Wedding Venue on the River

The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center has the best of both worlds, their 48,200 square foot building sitting on 54-acres of land boasts 30-foot wall of windows, allowing you to bring the outside inside with spectacular views. Surrounded by the river canyon and the rolling Klickitat Hills, the discovery center provides a different landscape than most people would expect. As you travel through the Columbia River Gorge you’ll see that the trees begin to fade away and the hills become gold when it shifts to the high desert. Plus, it’s a museum! So there’s an extra element of fun for your guests to learn about the history of the Gorge in a building with beautiful architecture built with locally sourced materials.

The Ruins

Located within the remains of a 100+ year old fruit cannery, The Ruins is a unique venue that combines nature with an urban feel. Thunder Island, also known as The Locks Venue, is located in the Cascade Locks Marine Park right on the edge of the Columbia River and is an actual island that’s accessible by a small footbridge.
